These short devotional thoughts are intended to relate to you, inspire you to change, comfort the grieving and help you understand that you aren't alone in your walk with Jesus.

 May 10, 2022 Episode 3- The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry Dallas Willard brilliantly noted, "Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day.  You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life."  If Jesus is our pace setter for life, we are going to have to slow down a lot!

Nov. 1, 2022 Episode 25 - Brendan, Bilbo & the Unexpected Journey of Faith In this "All Saints Day" episode, we explore the similarities between St. Brendan of Clonfert and Bilbo Baggins. St. Brendan is known to have sailed west discovering the "new world" long before the vikings and Columbus did.  At the end of this episode I mention what proof there is to show that the Celtic monks indeed visited what we know as America.

Jan. 31, 2023 Episode 36- The story behind the song "His Story"  In this podcast, Andrew describes the process of writing the song "His Story" and the profound message of God's guidance in every season of our lives.  

 Feb. 7, 2023 Episode 37- The story behind the song "Brushstrokes"  Andrew wrote Brushstrokes for Michael and Amy Wadlow's wedding in March 2022.  In this podcast Andrew talks about how this song points to the fact that the basis of marriage is rooted in the command of Jesus for us to love one another.

 Feb. 14, 2023 Episode 38 - The story behind the song "Place at the Table" 

This podcast describes the inspiration and meaning behind the song "Place at the Table".  This song is what I imagine Jesus singing to a man's heart.  Just as the song, "Captivating" is what Jesus sings to a woman's heart - this is a call to see ourselves as men invited to the table by Jesus.  

  February, 21, 2023 Episode 39 - The story behind the song "Love Letter"   In May of 2003, I wrote this song as an encouragement to read the Bible as a way for God to remind us of His love. While God's written words are like a love letter written to us - the way we live is writing a letter back to Jesus, and He reads every word.  He is always with us and is watching.  This is both encouraging and sobering.   This song also talks about the love songs that Jesus sings over us every night (Zephaniah 3).  

February 27, 2023 Episode 40 - the story behind the song "Still Small Voice"   This podcast episode tells the story behind "Still Small Voice" on my "Proof in the Mirror" CD that I released in 2009.  This song is an invitation from God to us to listen and hear His "still small voice."  

March 6, 2023 Episode 41-the story behind the song "Reunion"  This podcast explores the meaning and heart behind the song, "Reunion" from my 2009 CD "Proof in the Mirror" It tells the story of the prodigal son from Luke 15.

March 13, 2023 Episode 42- The story behind the song "Just a Breath Away"  There was a phrase tumbling over and over inside my head in December of 2004 that led me to write this song.  It was "you will always be, a breath away from me"  That truth struck such a chord with me that it sent me writing the lyrics to this song.  In a time of praying and wanting a third child, I was thinking a lot about how God breathes life into us - both in the womb (Psalm 139 says we were knit together by God), and when we take our first breath at birth.  After 18 years, this song is still powerful to me as a reminder of my identity and that I am created in the image God.

 March 20, 2023 Episode 43 the story behind the song "You are my Song"   This podcast series that explains the meaning, truth, scripture and stories behind the songs on my "Proof in the Mirror" CD released in 2009. Starting with Episode 34.  This week I talk about the song "You are my Song" is a song that I wrote in 2008 for my friends and ministry partners, Daniel & Katie Blackman. This song debuted at their wedding.

 March 27, 2023 Episode 44 - the story behind the song "Welcome Home"   This is the last podcast in this series called, "the story behind the song." I believe all songs are written in heaven and are shared with those of us who listen to receive them as gifts. The song, Welcome Home is the last track on the 2009 CD named, "Proof in the Mirror."

 April 4, 2023 Episode 45 - the story behind the song "Fields of Green"  For the past 12 weeks I've shared the story behind the songs on my "Proof in the Mirror" CD. This is a bonus addition that can be heard on the that CD.  In the fall of 2012 we laid to rest a six week old baby named Lydia Rose Green. This podcast tells that story.

 April 17, 2023 Episode 46  How Do I Carry Peace?  In this podcast, I talk about the "Shalom" peace of God and how two ways that we can carry it more.

May 4, 2023 Episode 47 - Have you ever heard God's voice? This episode starts a new series about hearing God's voice.  In this episode Pastor Andrew talks about 1 Kings 19, and Elijah the prophet who had an encounter hearing God's voice

May 8, 2023 Episode 48 - Sheep hear the voice of their Shepherd   In this podcast Andrew looks at the role of the shepherd with sheep in the Bible. In John 10, Jesus goes into great detail about how we (his sheep) hear and recognize his voice. Andrew also shares Three ways that I have learned to recognize HIS voice:

May 22, 2023 Episode 49-What does God's voice sound like? In this episode Andrew tells the story of hearing God's voice audibly (only once ever), and then gives us a list of characteristics of what God's voice always, sometimes and never sounds like.

May 28, 2023 Episode 50 - 5 Postures to Help You Hear God's Voice  In this episode Andrew gives us five ways to situate yourself better to hear the voice of Jesus.

June 6, 2023 Episode 51 - The gift of the Holy Spirit  Today's podcast is a 20 minute version of a sermon that was shared on Pentecost Sunday in our outdoor service. This devotional is more like an adventure through different passages of Scripture about Simon Peter, who is transformed by the Holy Spirit. It ties to the coming of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2.

June 13, 2023 Episode 52 - Journaling & Hearing God's Voice  In this episode, Andrew shares how journaling can help us hear God's voice. While many people have a love/hate relationship with journaling - there is a very helpful method of journaling called the "Immanuel Journaling" approach.
