"There were several kings who reigned during the time of the divided kingdom, both in the southern kingdom of Judah and in the northern kingdom of Israel. During these kings' reigns, and also during the exile and restoration, God sent several prophets to be his mouthpiece to Israel, Judah, the exiles, and sometimes, even other nations.
