In the Bible we see a desire from God to partner with people. At different times in history He has made promises and commitments with people that define the partnership that we have with Him. These covenants have laws or terms that describe the expectations of both God and humans. There are covenants with Noah, Abraham, the nation of Israel through Moses, David, and finally through Jesus, who establishes the New Covenant.
