The sons of Korah marveled at the beauty of the city God had chosen as His residence during the life of the nation of Israel. What makes it beautiful, of course, is God Himself: the supremely beautiful One.
And, while our worship of God is no longer confined to a specific geographical location, there is still—in this ancient land—the lingering scent of His glorious presence.

As we’ve been making our way through John’s Gospel these last couple months, you may have found yourself wondering what the places are like that are described in this fascinating account of Jesus’ life. Well, now you can find out!
I, Pastor Tom, plan to lead a group from our church March 9-19, 2020 on a pilgrimage to Israel to experience first hand the wonder of God in the land of Israel. This is not intended as a mere vacation or sightseeing tour, but a series of holy encounters with the Living God who has hallowed this land with His power and presence for millennia.
Israel Trip Details
The trip will feature three nights in Galilee and six in the Jerusalem area. Led by a professional tour guide, we will visit Caesarea, Mt. Carmel, Megiddo, Capernaum, Nazareth, Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Masada and Qumran. We will take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, get baptized in the Jordan River, float in the Dead Sea, walk the streets of Old Jerusalem, explore Hezekiah’s Tunnels, and—for those married—renew our wedding vows in Cana. Most importantly, we will pray, read scripture and seek the Lord throughout our pilgrimage. Our goal is to draw closer to the Lord and be transformed by Him during this experience.
The cost is $3690 per person, which includes airfare, tour bus with individual listening devices, professional guide, hotels, breakfasts and dinners and the round-trip chartered bus from Chico to SFO. Gratuities, lunches and incidentals are extra.
